Studying Magnetic Samples with the NIST Spin Echo Instrument
The NIST spin echo spectrometer has been used for the first time to study slow relaxation processes in a frustrated magnet (a derivative of the famous "spin ice"). Our results will be presented in the context of related experiments performed at ILL. The talk will also address a number of instrumental and technical issues which made the experiment challenging, and need consideration for future experiments of this type at NIST.
