A Problem Solving Environment for Complex Phenomena Simulation
Henry Tan
Louisiana State UniversityMaterials systems generally exhibit behaviors that need the descriptions from multiple disciplines. A complex phenomena simulation integrates several different computational components into one system. We wrote a problem-solving environment (PSE) with modeling, visualization and computational steering capabilities. This talk focuses on the design philosophy and the component-based implementation of the software.
