Demountable Titanium Cells

Demountable Titanium Cell

The demountable titanium cells are our most used cells. They are easy to assemble, disassemble and clean and are able to hold gel, melt, powder and liquid samples.

The cells have set sample path lengths of 1mm, 2mm, 4mm, 7.6mm, and 10mm. There are also "0mm" path length cells with no built-in spacer, ideal for polymer wafers melt-pressed inside a metal ring-spacer. The 1mm path length cells require a sample volume of 0.5ml.

The sample is held in the cell by two quartz windows, each window sealed by a viton o-ring. The o-rings are compressed by retaining rings that are held down by four screws. Electric, torque-locking screw drivers are available for insertion and removal of the screws. After assemling the cells, liquid samples can be inserted through the top using a syringe.
