CCR and CT Dewar Sample Mounting

These devices require direct thermal contact between your sample (or sample cell) and the copper sample block shown below. The disk shaped sample block has a tapped bolt circle (four #10-32 holes on a 1.75" diameter). We have a variety of aluminum sample cans (Vanadium cans available for BT-1 powder diffractometer users) that mate with the sample block.

Notes:

1.) the sample cell is surrounded by vacuum space
2.) helium gas is usually sealed within the sample cell for temperature uniformity
3.) indium wire (provided here) may be used for cryogenic seals
4.) single crystals may be mounted within similar cells
